Silly question with some many threads (not a complaint) looking to purchase either a masterbuilt 44" propane or weber 18 or 22 wsm..thoughts. I have a 22 weber one touch. Looking for a change. I am getting older and don't want to tend to a cook in the early mornings. Is the WSM pretty much set it and forget it like some say or get propane?

Personally I would choose the WSM 22.5.

It's well built, easy to use, & holds steady temps.

It's big enough to do whole racks of ribs without cutting them down.

If you want real set & forget with the flavor of charcoal/wood.

Then add a BBQ Guru to the WSM

I have that setup & it will run 22 hours+ without refilling the wood or charcoal.

And keep the temp at what ever you set it for.

Perfect for a all night cook!
