Hello in herre, or out there, or whatever is the appropriate term.  I have just found this site as I looked for ideas and information on how to make my new Masterbulit xl 44 work to it's potential. Ideas I have gleaned thus far are very promising.  I am located in central Texas and love to enjoy the smoking to share with others.  I am fairly new to the smoking world, but have just put a Masterbuilt Electric to rest after a few years of use.  I put the 44" LP thru it's virgin voyage yesterday smoking bacon, ribs, chicken legs, thighs and  a large pan of mac and cheese. The ribs were short of show quality but the taste and reviews from consumers were spot on!!  I did identify some trouble spots that I will be addressing in the next few days, including heat control and a mod for using chips / chunks more effectively.

I am looking forward to learning and sharing.
