Hi all, I was surprised this morning with a new MES30 from the wife. Ace Hardware had a deal with rib rack, sausage hanger and cover for $129. My previous smoker was a "Kingsford" brand from wally world. I really like the smoking process but that thing frustrating at best, couldnt hold temps, smothered wood in ashes etc. I am currently getting the MES seasoned and can't wait to get it going this afternoon! Any suggestions for a longer smoke tomorrow? Was thinking beef of some sort. Happy holidays everyone!

Hello Andy and welcome to you.

Congratulations on that shiny new smoker.

I'm glad that you've come here.

I would start out with something cheap for the first time.

That way even if things get messed up, you ain't out much.

The big deal is, make sure you have FUN with it.

Your gonna love that smoker.   That's one of the good ones.

I would look into a smoker tray from Amazin smokers thou.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have been looking at the Amazen products, those trays seem perfect. going to throw on a 3 pound brisket here in a couple hours to take this thing for a longer test drive.
