So I finally get to post the grand finale to my Kraut making session.

I found the last pack of brats in the freezer from my last batch. So I had the Sous Chef slice up an apple and some onions.

He sautéed them up in the cast iron while I grilled the brats on the gasser.

Neither boy cares for Kraut, yet, so I added it after served them. On to the Q-view!

DS2003, Tasty looking meal. It's too bad your boys don't like kraut but that means more for you !

Looks awesome Case....

Do you float those brats in a brewski for a bit before serving?

The apples and onion are a nice touch.

Are you missing them into that homemade kraut or as a relish to top those links?

Thank you Brian!

Didn't Beer bath the brats this time. After I served the boys their share of the onions and apples I added my Kraut to the pan to get everything warm and fuzzy before plating. That's the way I like it!

Course I had a couple spoon fulls of kraut right out of the jar. Had to make sure it was edible!

Dang.... I need to make some more kraut!

I totally understand why that's one of your faves!
Yep its good stuff.  I make several batches a year. I also do a few batches of Kim-chi. The Kim-chi is harder to do though as some of the ingredients I can't get locally.

Looking Good!!   I need to try a little apple mixed in with my kraut..

I have 10 pounds of ground pork in the fridge ready for more brats so this was posted just in time.
