well its been done for awhile and was wrapped and resting. finishing up spaghetti squash and will give it a slice. I just realized this was a corned beef brisket so not sure if thats a good or bad one lol but we will see how it tastes

My friend, you just made your first pastrami! Smoked corned beef is pastrami!

You should love what you just created!
 
Actually, around here, a precorned brisket is quite a bit more expensive than a normal flat.

But, the good thing about BBQ is that we can usually eat our mistakes!

Quit stalling, how is it?

Get yourself some Kraut, marbles eye, a good mustard or Russian dressing and make ruebens!

Or serve it up with kraut, sautéed apples onions and mashed taters.

lol it was actually very good.not the texture i was hoping for ( wanted a real brisket) and it was a cheap chain store piece of meat so it was kinda fatty( maybe most are ) for me.

but over all nobody complained

i did a ten year stint in Texas and I lived in dallas/plano/frisco/ and little elm. i still have great friends in Frisco
 
Next time, with a regular brisket, if you do the same as you did here, you'll nail it!
