I see tons of points being given out on the site. What exactly do they mean?

They don't mean beans!

They are given in appreciation of things you feel worthy of giving them too.

Lol. Unfortunately I wouldn't patronize that left wing cesspool if their product was free. But thank you for the point and the sentiment.

I must disagree with, Case/dirtsailor2003. The points have no monetary value but they do show the recognition and kindness of your fellow smokers. You'll note he has over 1700 points which shows great success and honour amongst smokers. He is being modest. He is actually spoken of in hushed tones and deference.
