Ten butts prepped and placed in smoker.

225 degrees for 12 hours.

Unwrapped after setting for an hour.

One pulled and only nine more to go.
Very tasty!

Looks perfect. What kind of rub did you use?

I started with Bilbos and have modified it a little bit every time I smoke.

My secret ingredient though is Dorthy Lynch Dressing. I slather the butts first with this and then add the seasoning. Giving the pork an added layer of taste. Excellent!

I will definitely have to try your method. I usally make my own...salt sugar paprika and chili powder. Its great but you can get tired of the same flavor profile after awhile

I totally understand. Right now I don't want to see or smell pork butts for a while.

Thanksgiving turkeys and chickens are next in line.

I just looked up Billbos rub and it is exactly the same as the one I already use.the only difference is I add a couple packets of true lime granules to my rub to give it that bright finish. Thats too funny. I guess great minds think alike.

Sure looks good to me.

I do about the same thing with the rubs.

I use Jeff's rub to for my starting point,

then a little tinkering stops the getting tired of it.

Hope you had fun with it.
