Funny story after Doc put me under.

Long story short, yesterday I had a procedure that I needed to be put under with anesthesia. While I was waking up the nurses rolled me into the room where my wife was waiting. I don't remember any of this but my wife said I woke up and declared to everyone in the room:

"I HAD A DREAM!!!!"

At this point my wife was thinking of the worst possible embarrassing stuff that could come out of my mouth. I said in a very drunken sounding voice:

"I was barbecuing!!...... it was some kind of pork....."

I guess I later went on to tell the one nurse she could wrap ribs and stuff in butcher paper and so on...

When my wife told me on the ride home I just roared with laughter.

I couldn't help but share. Thanks for reading.

LOL.. my wife tells me all the time... " That's all you ever think about ... smoking food".. I tell her.. "NOT TRUE" ... (we have our grandson racing motocross and I am his mechanic/pitcrew) ... so I tell her... "I think more about racing than I do smoking food" .... she says... "Oh yea.. that's right... the only thing you think about is racing and smoking"...

"OK.. so what's the problem" I say.... biggrin.gif

Not so much a dream as it is an unconscious expression of who you are. Hopefully, who we all are inside.

I hear that! I BBQ and cook stuff in my dreams that I've never even made before in real life. Probably because clean up is easier!

I do the same thing, unfortunately the outcome is usually a disaster.

Maybe that keeps me from making mistakes when I do smoke something.

Geez, to think I used to dream about fast cars & fast women.  :icon_redface:

There have been times the dog opens the smoker and steals all my food. Dang it! And yes, I think that last part is what my wife was concerned about me babbling about to everyone! haha! I better cross my fingers if I ever have to be put under again!

Now that's dedication, I like it.

I personally spend a lot of time thinking about and

planning my smokes.

Looking on here, try to get it right the first time (yeah right).

I'll bet there's a lot worse things you could have been saying.

Hope everything is OK with you.

Thanks guys! Had an EGD to look at my stomach. Turns out a lifetime of back pain and ibuprofen is hard on a person, even when you take it with food every time. Ulcers. Still waiting on biopsy results but the worst part of it is (besides not being able to take ibuprofen for pain) I can't really be eating any fatty BBQ for awhile. I'm thinking pork loin or something is in order pretty soon though!

I find I BBQ a lot, but I never get to actually eat any of it. No wonder why I'm so starving in the morning!

Sounds like a Great place for some nice Lean Beef Dried Beef or Venison Dried Beef, like in my Step by Steps.

Best to you on your test results!!
