Well finally got the freezer to the farm. Cooking space looks to be 50"w 48" h 28"d

Going to use a smoke daddy pellet unit for my heat/smoke source. Once I get it clean tomorrow or Wednesday I'll post more pics. Will take any advice that anyone has to offer

left side is 48x22, both doors on the right side are 30x22. it is 28" deep in the cooking space. doors lock up nice. will be replacing the seals with the fire resistant rope.

from it sitting so long i do believe the insulation has picked up a tad bit of moisture so i am going to see how easy that is to remove tomorrow. Going to tear out whats left of the compressor and other unneeded parts.

i am planning on using the pellet you some smoke daddy since almost all of my smoking is done when we process deer.

from looking at what i have does anyone have any good input? probably going to take me a few days to get it cleaned up before im ready to start building anything. the metal sides on the inside seem a tad flimsy for SS or is it just that thin??

The pellet hopper will feed from the left side (red) and I can't decide if I should put an air intake on the right (blue).

Where should the exhaust go? Should I place in the center or on the far right side?

I'm also getting the insert remade from 16g steel. I'm supposed to have that back by Friday. Can't wait to get it a fire going

Took all those strips out and unscrewed the top and pulled it right out. I'llbe able to slide the new insert in this week. Then just have to finish the stuff inside. I hope my 14g steel sheet comes in this week with my expanded metal so I can get my shelf made. I hope to have it Firedup by the weekend

Once I get it slid back in with new insulation my buddy is going to cut new strips from 16g

Finally had time to get some stuff done. We got slammed with deer the last week of archery. Got my racks cut and my heat deflector in. Just need to finish some welds and make the hanging rack the goes on the right. Should I wore brush everything down on the inside to get rid of some of the flux core when I used it? I have some good degreaser I'm going to wash the inside with then rinse good with fresh water. Should I run the outside don the shell with veg oil before inserting it inside the outer shell with the insulation? Hope to have it wrapped up Friday night

ALmost there. Man this has been a process. I can't wait to build one from scratch. Got the insert in last night, it'll work for now lol. Cutting the door trim and install stacks tonight and firing her up tomorrow.

It's called expanded metal. Any metal supply or mine supply will have that stuff it's way cheaper to get it from them then lowes or other box store
