Snack logs?

So I was making my favorite snak-stix recipe and whoops! Ran out of 16mm collagen!
I finished the mix with 36mm hog casings because that's what I had.
So what do I call these things? Snack sticks XL? Snack Logs? Snack Sticks on Steroids?

I'm looking forward to them with cheese & crackers! 😀

You're right, Al! From now on I think I'll do some links with the stix.

Very tasty sliced. I don't know if any of you have tried Big Casinos' recipe for beef stix, but I'm hooked. Not for the faint hearted, though..🙂

Looking good Dan. Looks like right between a snack stick and a chub, maybe call it a Snub!

Anyway... Points!

Thanks, redheelerdog! I plan on vac sealing a couple for freezing. If I write Snub on it the Mrs will be baffled, but I'll know what it is :-)

I'll bet those were good with some cheese and crackers!

We had the opposite problem last winter when making SS.  Ended up with about 3 pounds of SS snack sticks!  Yep, like you, we'll do it again.

Just goes to show ya, Cranky, if the mix is good, any casing works!
Dan

(Hmm, I wonder how Hot Italian would be in a stick...😁)

I'll take that as a "dare". I'm told we're about out of Hot Italian, so when the collagen gets here we'll see what happens...
