I've been tinkering with my UDS for a little while and it's not going anywhere, but I got a new toy! I've never used an offset, but after seasoning it I learned pretty darn quick. She must have gotten tired of listening to me talk about an offset so here we go, it was cheap and on sale at Walmart but I couldn't be any happier. So far, I'm love love loving it. My 5 year old said "You've been a good boy Dad, you deserve it!! lol Thanks guys!!! I'll do some mods on it in the future but I just had to get it fired up and seasoned asap.

Thanks for looking!

Nice little unit to get you going in the stick burning world. I rusted out two similar ones before I decided to go with something a little thicker.

Don't give up on that UDS! They are amazing smokers..

Thanks all!!! There was zero breeze when I seasoned it so the smoke poured straight out, very nice except the mosquitoes were awful.

I managed some beef ribs on the cooker yesterday and then the same night my low back went crazy on me again and I've been on ice almost ever since.

A little better today but having a hard time sitting at the computer. I'll try get a new thread with some Qview when I can. Lets just say they turned out delicious and it was a dream working with the new offset!

I had the same back problem....  I invested in a tilt table...  no more back problems....

I've been thinking about those. I have a very basic low back traction 'apparatus' if you will. I might just have to bite the bullet and get one. 32 years old is too young for this crap.

Nice smoker, that is a nice gift for sure. When you get her going good post up some Qview!

Have fun!

Thanks! From the looks of it I'll be sanding and painting the top of the firebox before winter but who cares!
