My name is Ollie I'm new to smoking meat and looking forward to learning some new things about smoking different meats

Just bought a pitmaster iq 130 for my WSM Can any one tell me about good placement of tempature probe?
Can i put it in the grommet on my smoker and get the temp from there?

I have a wsm 22.5 and i use a pitmaster iq 130 for temp control at times.
