Hello all! I'm new here and have dug around a little bit. I love to smoke briskets and ribs and pretty much anything I can get my hands own. The last few smokers I've owned were cheap and all fell apart after a short time, which leads me to today. I'm looking to build an offset vertical smoker from a 55 gallon drum (food chamber) and a 30 gallon air tank (fire box). The biggest concern of mine is the placement of the exhaust stack. Should I place it on top or the side? I do not have any pictures due to me not starting the project yet. Thank you in advance for all the help!
