Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been doing in chamber smokes for about a year on this with decent success, but I am through with the CONSTANT watching that goes into it.
So, I have an old Brinkman smoke chamber that I want to use as my firebox, but it is about 50% the size it needs to be (according to Feldon's). What are the draw backs? The diameter is about 16.5" and the length is about 35". The thought is that I can still use it as a grill.
Also. I am going to use an old basketball pole for legs. I cut it into three pieces (I'm going to use two on the far side, away from the firebox). Any idea on how to mount them?
