I'm curious, has anyone tried the AMNPS or AMNTS in an offset smoker? Or are they usually used in other types or generally used for cold smoking?

I cannot speak to the two AMAZN products you mentioned.

I have the older AMNS which was a dust smoker designed for cold smoking, but many of us used it for hot smoking before the newer models came out.

I use the AMNS dust smoker in my offset successfully for hot smokes as long as I do not place it in close proximity to the point where the firebox joins the pit.  I place mine slightly to the chimney side of center and have had no problems.

I would assume the pellet smoker would perform even better, but others with them will be chiming in with their results.

Can't beat the AMAZN products and Todd's customer service!

Good luck and good smoking.

Thanks for the comments. I went forward and got the 12" tube smoker and will report back as soon as I try it on some cheese.
