Hello all.  I live on the far east side of Kansas, a stones throw away from the Missouri border in the Kansas City metro area.  I recently inherited a Brinkmann Pit Master Deluxe smoker last weekend, my first smoker.

I'm a fair, to middlin', cook in the kitchen but am brand new to smoking.  I haven't really planned out what I am going to smoke first but have planned to make the first venture or two simple. I want to judge/learn how much ventilation I do or don't have and how well this grill maintains it's temperature.  The grill itself has been well seasoned by the previous owner who has given me a few tips on it pros/cons.

Welcome to the forum!

Glad to have you with us.

Looks like a great smoker!

Looking forward to seeing it in action!

Al
