How's this for creative?     I love fire roasted poblanos and love tacos so now to combine them!   Fired up the "007" cooker.

Ok refried beans, taco meat and cheddar went into the peppers, then roasted over the fire until they were perfectly blistered....Topped with crunch fritos and lettuce.  Muy Bueno!!!

Thanks for looking!

Here's the prep

Those look great! You could always stuff it right in a shell or tortilla if wanted, just saying I never have Fritos laying around.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing Brian, definitely a way to go.   This was kind of like when I make taco salad...I layer lettuce, crumble fritos, and add the meat and cheese.

Thanks, it was very very good.
Looks great Keith
Thanks Adam

Wow, that's a great idea!  Like Chef JJ, I'm personally not a fan of lettuce (any kind), but have substituted cabbage for a hearty crunch in my tacos. Using the poblanos would be a real hit at my place

Fortunately the growing season is starting and Peppers/Chiles of all kinds will be easily obtained. Take a look for Anaheim Chiles out of California and the great New Mexican Chiles that will be available by August. They are a bit smaller but have a great flavor as well...JJ

I got some points for these! Look amazing and a good option for our vacation at the cabin in a few weeks. My uncle will love it. Good smoke on it to heat!
