FWISmoker, I tried this recipe and, well... I screwed it up badly!
I like smoke, but apparently the peppers did not like as much smoke as I typically do.
I made Jalapeño and poblano "taco shells" but they turned out bitter.
I will try it again with just a little smoke from my amazing smoker and low temp, as this looks way too good not to try again.
Thank you for the idea!
 
excellent looking dish , I always enjoy poblano's.

I experimented last weekend with one whole poblano (olive oil salt/pepper) on my applewood smoke of 25lbs of turkey/chicken spatchcocks and the pepper turned out very good. 

approx. 1 hr 15 min at 185 F in the warming chamber of my offset smoker.
