Hi all,

First time posting here, but I figured that I may as well sign up seeing as whenever I have a question I usually find the answers(s) here anyway.

I had a bullet smoker awhile ago that I kinda used, but was never able to get the time that I needed to get the hang of it.

Just got back into smoking about a month ago when I got an offset Chargriller smoking pro.  I have used it twice so far, once for tri tip and a rack of St. Louis, and just today I smoked a chicken and a pork butt.  Hoping to do some smoked sausages, a brisket, and some more chicken for the 4th of July.

So far, I love the smoker.  I was reading (here) and watching some videos on mods for the smoking pro, and so far I have added two new thermometers down by the base of the lid, and extended the smoke stack down to the grates with some flex pipe.  One concern I do have with the smoker is the amount of heat loss I am getting.  I am going to look in to some mods to seal up the smoker a little because it seems like I am going through a lot of fuel.

I am excited to share what little I know and learn a lot more from everyone else.

Thanks,

John

Hello and welcome to you John.

Glad you landed here.

Remember pictures of your smokes are good things.

Have fun.
