Making my first batch using Hi Mountain Sweet & Spicy and the paint stick puck method in the oven. When they're done can I safely do a low cold smoke on them?
Does the meat have nitrite cure in it ??? If so, you can cold smoke for as long as you want, then cook.....

Yes the kit comes with a seasoning pack and a cure pack which contains nitrite. I am in the drying stage now and will put in the smoker after.
