I need to give another shout out to my good friend Brian (BDSkelly) for making Brisket Chili and getting me in the mood to make some myself. It had been Way Too Long

I'm really excited about this. Got the brisket smoked today so I should get it done in the next couple days. Oh, and I put leftover pork in the beans today...fantastic!!

Fantastic Gary!! I didn't have quite enough chili powder so threw in some chipotle. It was a huge hit. Mrs P even got seconds before finishing her firsts. I think next time I get my hands on a packer I'll make a double or triple batch and can some. Awesome!!!!

Well, today I got talked into participating in a chili cookoff at work. Naturally I wanted to smoke something for it, so I popped in and typed "Chili" in the search bar and this thread popped up. In two weeks I'll be putting your recipe to the test!

Now I just have to decide if beans will help me or hinder me in the voting...

Best advice, find out if the people doing the judging are bean fans.  A Chili competition in Texas would disqualify you for adding beans.

But this being a work contest it should be fun, can you enter more than one batch ?   One with , one without
