I have to brag on this little gadget again.  Hadn't used the PartyQ in a while, so yesterday decided to do some chicken. Set it at 275° and the chicken hit 165° in about 2 hours. We weren't ready to eat yet, and they were thighs which would be fine going a little higher in temp anyway, so I decided to see how good this little thing really is. I lowered the temperature to 175°, and within 10-15 minutes it was down to 180°. It took another 20 minutes or so to get down to 175°, where it stayed for another hour, maybe 2. I wasn't really paying attention at this point as everything was on cruise control. The thighs were all around 170° and still very moist and tender.

When all was said and done, after 5 hours I'd used maybe two thirds of a basket's worth of coals.

The mini makes a pretty good warming oven!
