I just ordered a old country smoker will I be happy I have a trager and a bradly but I wanted a coal and stik burner sory for my spelling I went to school in cal were all the good dem teachers are.TERRY smoker is a WRANGER

Welcome from SC, Terry. It's good to have you on this great site. IMO, the Wrangler is an excellent stick burner for the price. There are several mods that you will probably want to make, but give it a couple of cooks before you jump in. As far as your reference to a coal and stick cooker, I have an offset and I use lump to get a good bed of coals started and switch over to all wood when everything is burning well. One of the best tools for good heat management is pre-heating your splits. They will ignite more quickly and not smolder. This will keep the temp from dropping too far and will keep a good clean smoke going.
