Well not so well in my opinion, cooks chicken great, great even distribution of heat, and the smoke just rolls out of the chimney. I guess I just don't know how to smoke on it, need to get an actual grate gauge to see how it holds up to the outside gauges, but my brisket always seems overdone and so do my ribs, but my chicken is awesome!

​yeah, sounds like maybe its cooking hot if chicken is good and the others are overdone. any new pit is gonna take a lot of break in, but that's a mighty fine pit to not spend some time using. Hey ill take it off your hands if you want! lol.
 
Yeah that's what I'm hoping, lol I don't think the wifey would like that too much!
