Mama Bear’s Day 2016 (Ribeyes)

Mother’s Day was upon us again, so I thawed out a couple of Ribeyes for Mama Bear & Myself.

I decided to get “Smokey Joe Weber” out for a bit of extra flavor. I don’t get that out often, because it’s easier for me to just go out & push the button on my Weber “Q”. So I put it up on a big tub, so it wasn’t so hard to reach, and rolled my Craftsman stool over for the old Bear to sit on. I kept everything close to the garage door, because today was the 9th consecutive day we got rain here.

Soaked the Ribeyes in Teriyaki Marinade for a few hours, and the rest is below with the pictures.

Mrs Bear added some Sweet Tater Fries, Steak Fries, and Green Beans on the side, and we dropped the steaks on the sizzle plates to keep them from going cold too fast.

Enjoy,

Bear

Thank You Richie!!

We had our Mother's Day Dinner on Saturday, because Bear Jr & his wife took Mrs Bear out to Dinner on Sunday.

I stayed home & mowed my Yards.

The first time I had Sweet Tater Fries was about 20 years ago @ my favorite Hangout Bar.

I love them when they're cut real thin.

And Thanks for the Points!!

Thank You Disco!!

I know what you mean---When I got back from Vietnam & got stationed in Hawaii, I bought a used Hibachi & I made Steaks for Me & Mrs Bear every Sunday. They just fit on that little thing.

BTW: I was 20 years old at that time---Those were the days!!

And Thanks for the Points!!

Oh my gosh, that looks fantastic!  I'm still trying to figure out the best way to cook steaks, and what you did looks perfect.

I smoked our steaks last night, and we really liked how they came out (I never think to take pics, dang it).  I smoked with some wood chips my son and I bought on a whim a while back and haven't used - Jack Daniels oak.  I also made up some homemade Montreal Steak Seasoning that we thought was excellent.

But I need to pull out my charcoal grill someday and try that again, now that I know more about it.  :-)

Again, beautiful steaks, Bear!

Thank You Sir!!

Every time I break out that little Charcoal grill, it brings back memories:

When I got back from Vietnam, I got stationed in Hawaii for a year, and Mrs Bear came down there to be with me.

Every Sunday I made Steaks on the little Hibachi I got for $5. Made Dogs & Burgers on it too, but Sunday was Steaks!!

I love steaks made over charcoal.
