Hi y'all!  I am excited to learn more about smoking from this site and all of you!  I reside in South Jordan, Utah, with my wife and three kids. I was first introduced to smoking a few years ago when I recieved a Brinkmann charcoal smoker from as a service award from my employer.  It's been fun to learn on and I've done trout, salmon, chicken, a turkey, and a brisket, which all turned out successfully (more or less).  But it's time to upgrade as I want something that requires less constant tending.  After reading here and other places, I think the Masterbuilt 20070910 may suit me well.  But I'm interested in hearing other opinions so please let me know!

Thanks and i look forward to learning from all y'all!

Thanks Jasper...I'm leaning towards electric, but I have heard good things about the Webers.  What I'm mainly looking for is "set and forget" convenience.  I'm sure Weber would be better in that respect than my ECB but I think that for now, electric is right for me.

Plenty of electric smoker owners on here to help you decide.

But my vote goes to the Weber.
