Thanks SQWIB !!

Been to Philly Hundreds of times----Woodhaven Road only a couple.

My Worst stop was "Pat's".

You should start your own Steak Shop next to Pat's & Geno's, and run them out of Biz!!

And Thanks for the Points!

holy hell my mouth is watering. I am doing this ASAP. I bet you could make a bunch of these and individually freeze them!
Thank You Son!!

Sure these are Great Frozen, and they heat up real nice in a Nuke-U-Later (after thawing).

Thanks for the idea Bear. Made these tonight and they were definitely a hit. Used Pepperjax frozen steak meat (meat counter was just as expensive and obviously not sliced), sautéed green peppers, mushrooms, and topped with provolone. I'm ready for leftovers!

Glad you liked them!

Thanks for the Comments!

I froze mine and reheated them a week later. Let me tell you, they were even better after being reheated!
Thanks for confirming my thoughts!

I Nuked some after a day in the fridge, and that was even better than fresh, so I figured after freezing would have the same result.

This means if Vacuum packed & frozen, they'd be awesome for many months!!

Those look great Bear! They remind me of mountain pies over the campfire. Gonna give these a try soon!

Thanks Mike!!

Yup, they are kinda like them. We used to make those mostly stuffed with Fruit over the fire.

These look delicious. I might have the try them. I do have a question thought....I have never seen that type of steak sauce before. Is it a tomato base sauce and where did you buy it from? Thank you

Thank You Meatstick!!

Mrs Bear gets that sauce at either of our local stores (Giant or Weis).

It's called Talarico's Sandwich Steak Sauce, and we've been using it on Cheesesteaks for about 40 years.

It is a Tomato based sauce, but it tastes just like most of the sauces used in this Philly Area at our Steak Shops.

You can search "Talarico's Philly Style Steak Sandwich Sauce", and their web site comes up, and has a bunch of other sauces too.

I'd give you the link, but it's not a good thing to do on the forum, and it's easy to find.

Thanks Bear.. I will have to look at our local grocery. If I cannot find it there I think I will order a jar and see how they turn out. Thanks again.

Have I mentioned how great these look?!

Yeah, I think you're not that far from here (Ohio??).

Some things we have around the Philly area, or the PA Dutch area can't be found too far from here, but I know you'll like this sauce with Cheesesteaks.

Let me know how you make out with it.

Yes, I'm in Ohio about 4 hrs from the PA boarder. My in-laws live about 20-30 minutes from the PA boarder. I might have to ask them to see if they can find it around where they live. I told my wife I was going to make cheese steaks this weekend for the buckeye game. Hopefully I can find it here. If not, I guess it just gives me an excuse to make them again!
