I did that yesterday. I took the whole burner assembly apart. Cleaned everything and blew it out with an air compressor and reassembled. It work good for about 15 minutes. When I turned the flame down got fire from the screen again and a lazy yellow flame. I also took the hose off and had the regulator tested. Switched tanks also. Might be the valve? Don't really know. It's the only thing that hasn't been changed or taken apart. Might just be time to retro another burner and hose. Thank you for the advice and any other suggestion will be greatly appreciated. This old smoker has put a lot pounds and smiles on family and friends.Remove the burner and clean the spider webs out of it.... also check the propane orifice for blockage...
