Hello boys and girls, this is my first real thread. Just wanted to share, i am doing my first small competition in July. Its only ribs and chicken, so Ive been focusing on ribs for the past few weeks.

Tonight I did a single rack of baby backs, with killer hogz rub along with some salt and pepper.

Let them rest with rub for around 30 mins

Then to the smoker, i run a traeger. I had a battery set up made because there will be no electric at the competition site....gave it a trial run tonight, worked great!

Smoked em at 250/275 for about 2.5 on the grate, switched to foil with brown sugar, butter, some sriracha, small amount of apple cider vinegar, and rub.

Just pulled em after saucing and glazing

I will post some cut pix after they rest, any thoughts so far?

Thanks!!!

Thanks fellas, I am trying to pack as much flavor into one bite as I can. I have zero experience on the comp circuit, but watching videos and coming here sure helps. I dont have many expectations come July but I am sure gonna try.
