I usually give about 1.25-1.5 hours per lb. So that would put you at 11-13 hours give or take. If it finishes early just foil wrap with towels and drop in a cooler for a few hours until needed.

Can anyone tell me about how long it will take to smoke a 9lb brisket? Thanks!:grilling_smilie:
You may want to give yourself 18 hrs to be safe if you are cooking at 225 or lower. Remember the internal temperature determines if it's done. Good luck!

Than you for the help. I really appreciate it. I will cross my fingers when i smoke it tomorrow.
Are you planning on eating it tomorrow night? A lot of people will put the meat on before going to bed. Especially with your Traeger or if they have an electric smoker. Even if it gets done early you can wrap it in foil, then towels, and stick in a cooler to keep warm (towels to fill in cooler space). This will work for 4-6 hrs, good luck!

Thanks bauchjw
Funny thing I was just talking with the wife about that . If I should pu it on tonight about 11:00 or so . That way we know it will be done to eat tomorrow.I think you just helped make that decision lol. Thanks again.

Start posting pics when you put it on! We'll be waiting to see how it goes!
:popcorn

I'd even recommend putting on around 1000 pm. It always seems to takes longer than you expect! Unless nobody is waiting for it to get done. Then it gets done right on time or early!

Here are the pictures you could not see earlier in my posts i am so sorry i am still learning how to do things on this site. This is a picture of my baby geting her rub with papa t house seasoning and injected with beef broth and beef bouillon and crushed garlic and waiting to be put down for her wrap. This picture is of her coming out of the fridge and out of her wrap and getting its sea salt rub now waiting to go on the grill. This is my sweaty getting put to bed for the night crossing my fingers and toes This one is my mouth watering sweetie after 7 hours of smoke and 4 hours at 190 to 200 degrees so its about 830 in the morning time to close the lid. This one of my beautiful looking dinner is about 17 hours later and now getting ready for her nap in the cooler. This is my first brisket being put to bed again for a couple hour's waiting for my wife to get home from work. I am haveing a hard time keeping my paws of it. I sure pray to god its as good as it smells and looks i will post more after the cutting. Thanks papa t
