2 hours in, rotated the racks and stuck the shoulder! Smokers holding steady right at about 230-235. IT is at 151 on the shoulder, does that sound about right after 2-2 1/2 hours?

Looking good! I don't know if there is a"normal" but that doesn't sound weird to me. It'll settle down and go a lot slower soon.

I have two 8lb shoulders on right now myself. They stalled at 150. That's after 11 hours at 250. Hopefully yours goes better! Here is mine before. Good luck.
Yeah mine stalled at about 165 for what felt like about 3 days! It's at 195 right now after almost 8 hours. Mine is only a 4 1/2 pounder though!

As long as its not real windy and have my wood flare up i can keep it pretty consistent. Im smoking a brisket now and it got mindy for alittle bit caught my wood on fire and went from 225 to 350 in no time

Yeah I guess I can usually keep it within a 20 degree window most the time as long as I'm keeping an eye one it! Either way well worth the money!
