Well, my build is progressing, and after doing a search for "grease trap" and going through 7 pages of stuff I still cant find much.

I see a few smokers with a 1 inch pipe and a shut off valve on the bottom to drain the grease, what is the best type of set up? where do you get that shut off valve? I see some with a water valve, is that OK?

I have my RF plate bent in a slight V pattern so the juices will flow to the end and drip off in the center, I understand under that, in the bottom of the tank I need some way to catch and dispose of the grease, options? best set-ups?

Just after the end of your RF plate, put in a drain outlet (a coupling or some other female thread). Screw in a short nipple and a ball valve ( available at Lowe's). 1" will work, but mine is 1-1/2". Hang a small bucket from the valve and empty it when you're through cooking. I have a PVC adapter and some 1-1/2" PVC pipe that I run into the shrubbery to drain away the water when I steam out the CC. This has worked great for me.

Good luck, Joe.
