I have been thinking of my air intake on my 500 gal rf smoker! Money it tight that's y I was thinking of porting a fan to fire box on a variable fan switch to force air in. Instead of cutting into the firebox to put inlets in because I'm not sure the best way to do it. My end goal is to have a cyber q guru system or equivalent wifi preferred but I have to get some test cooks on before June 16 th have my aunts 70th b day party plans are two whole shoulders and a lil pig....

Great looking build! Maybe just see how much control you can get opening and closing the fire box door a small amount. It may be enough to get past the B-Day party and give time to add the Guru at your leisure...JJ

I have had a test fire and that's how I figured I need more air. I did open the door a bit the temp held strong at 265. Just trying to conserve fuel and extend time between fire checks..

My 35$ crate of pallet drops and chunks from skids. The crate measures 48x48x48 and its full. Ready to season the pit Friday and Friday night throwing on at least 3 butts for a test run two butts are for my coworkers girl friends graduation party from college...

Great looking mod. Be very interested to see how it performs
