Hello everyone. New to the forum. Some great stuff on here.

I've been smoking on on my napoleon appolo for over a year now and it's been a great summertime smoker but doesn't stand up well to the winter up here so I've been looking into a new project for the summer.

Ive decided to build myself a brick smoker/grill...pretty easy right? Going to be a difficult challenge but excited and think it will hold up better in the cold so i can go year round.

My question, any thoughts on an offset vs a vertical? What are the pros and cons to each? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to site, I've got an apollo too.  I keep toying with a brick build myself, but I can't really answer your question.  If you don't get help here try posting you question in the brick smoker section of the forum.  Good luck and good smokin'.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a windy but nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
