been lerking around on SMF decided to join planning on buying a smoker soon, live in NY, trying to figure out whats going to best fit my needs cant wait!

Hello B2K and welcome here.

I'm thinking if you want advice on smokers

you should jump right out there into the forums and ask.

I think you will get a much better response out there.

The first thing your going to have to decide is, what kind of smoker you want.

Wood, gas, electric, charcoal.

As Ed said start jumping in the forums and ask some questions.

All will be happy to give you their take

on them good and bad.

There are also many other electrics and 

others on here.

Get right out there and look and ask your

questions.

The answers will be there.
