So a little birdie told me rib roasts were on sale.

So I picked two up.

This one only cost me 6.67 dollars. Another story.

I cut one into steaks, and kept one whole, just cut the ribs off.

Steaks

Dont they look tender???

Meaty ribs cut off.

And the whole one for the freezer.

Steak vac sealed. Arent they pretty?

Of course I had to cook a few.

Seasoned and waiting on the kettle to heat up.

Didnt take long this way.

Served up with some smokey beans.

Perfect for us.

I will be going back to get more this week.

If you never tried prime rib, please do so. Its worth the money.

Can't beat a price like that!

Your steaks look perfect!

How can you beat steak & beans!!

Points for a perfect meal!!

Thanks Al.

The steak was so tender.

NICE! Can't wait to get back to Central PA. I don't see those prices here in NJ. For me Rib Steaks and Roasts are the best cut of Beef. I would take them over Filet anytime...JJ

Looks great Adam!

I'm with JJ, on the pricing. Best I can do here is $8.99/pound and that's bulk. Have to buy the whole roast (15-20 pounds). Regular 3-5 bone roasts are at $12.99-$15 per pound!

Oooh those look nice.  Stop and Shop in these parts has choice bone in rib roasts and boneless strip roasts for 5.77 a pound.  I am afraid I am going to have to buy another freezer for them...and I already have 4 freezers!   At these prices, I am going to be eating prime rib on a weeknight as a test for Easter.

That little Birdie look like a Bear ?     Nice score and excellent cook  Everything looks just great.

Hello Adam.  GREAT looking meat and cooked to perfection!  I am with JJ on this one.  The wife and I LOVE prime rib.  In England ribeye is cheaper than fillet.  I once ordered ribeye at a restaurant and the waiter said " sir, you do know ribeye is a fatty cut of meat".  I said YEP! and pick me out a nice "fatty" one.  Great job.  Keep Smokin!

Ok. So I go and get these two hunks of meat and go to the selve check out cause the other lines were full. I scan the first one then get the second one, no barcode. The lady that watches the self check out isle comes over, I said there is no barcode. She says I will enter it manually, 6.67 pops up on my screen. I looked over at her, she says your ready to pay. Yup, I paid and said thanks on the way out.

I hate self checkouts! Looks like you got yourself a deal.
