Smoking pork shoulder

Military vet, Colorado. Got smoker for Christmas, smoked a couple of Hams, trying a pork shoulder today. I have a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker

Welcome, I am a new member also with a Masterbuilt 40. Do a lot of searches. There is so much good info on here from so many experienced people.

The shoulder turned out pretty good, I smoked it for about 8hrs, then it sat in apple juice for another 2 hrs. I didn't get as much smoke flavor as i thought I would. But the meat was still good. I think i will try pork ribs next.
