Hi I am fairly new to smoking but I really enjoy it. I use a weber smoky mountain. I like smoking turkey, ribs and pulled pork. I am originally from NC but I live in Westchester County, NY

Yeah it is a different atmosphere but it is nice up here. Less hot in the summers at least. I have family in Orangeburg and I know SC well.

New member here too!!  I have been waiting for my MES 30" to arrive at Cabella's after being on back order for the past 2 months.  Live just north of Cincinnati, OH and can't wait to start using the smoker.  A little apprehensive on what to do first (after seasoning), due to family critics.  Would like the purchase to seem worthwhile with a small learning curve.
