High winds, rain, snowing today. Been a rough start so far this spring.

Pulled out a nice 7 bone roast. Marinated it for three days in Worchestshire, and Deschutes Brewery Black Butte Porter. Loaded the cream can up with taters, onion, garlic, carrots, celery and the roast. Got it on a low simmer. Will be nice and tasty in a couple hours.

Bought this composter from Costco. I think Lifetime is one of those new progressive companies where the product engineers are allowed to drink on the job. Took many beers to get this thing built!

Sounds Good, Case!!

Biscuit recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
For the topping:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt and cayenne pepper, if using.

In a large glass measuring cup or another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and butter. Pour mixture over dry ingredients and stir using a rubber spatula just until moist. Gently fold in cheese.

Using a 1/4-cup measuring cup, scoop the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Place into oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

For the topping, whisk together butter, parsley and garlic powder in a small bowl. Working one at a time, brush the tops of the biscuits with the butter mixture.

Thanks Adam!

The biscuits are addicting. Definitely add a 1/4 cup of Parmesan. Other herbs are good too!

The can makes a great meal in a short amount of time.

Case nice job on the cooking. Thanks for sharing the Bicuits recipe Points

That 7 roast looks delicious! And that gravy.... gravy is my downfall....... I was think he wasted a beer on that old roast, then I saw the gravy.......ZOMG!!

I too was baited by Disco and attempted cheese biscuits last night also. Great biscuits, matter a fact, I am still full of bisquits from last night and had thought of sausage gravy for breakfast. I just don't see it happening.

Great looking meal man. I have a chicken pressure cooker much like your milk can, I am gonna have to try it.

Again, a great looking meal!

Great looking meal there, Case!

The biscuits look amazing.

I like the parm idea.

Gonna give it a try!

Points!

Thank you Richie! I'd recommend a double batch of the biscuits! I had to hide two just so I could have them for breakfast with a bit of the leftover gravy.

Thanks Kevin! The can cooker is my go to I'm in a hurry cooker. Coq de vin Julie Child is on my list of things to cook in the can.

Now for the rolls, I hid two so I can have them today with an egg and the leftover gravy. If I'd been thinking I would have thawed out a package of the Fassetts breakfast patties. Guess I'll have to make more biscuits! The Porter adds great flavor to the gravy, yum!

Thanks Al! The parm adds another layer of flavor. They'd be good without as I used Tillamook extra sharp. The addition of the herbs was nice. I added Rosemary, thyme, sage, fresh parsley.

Everything looks Mighty Tasty, from my Den, Case!!!
