New from Indiana

Thread Starter

I'm new to this smoking think, but I like trying (and trying to perfect) new things.  I have a small economical Charbroil propane vertical smoker. It seals well with the addition of fiberglass rope.  It's rather small, however.

It's been a mild winter so far, so I've been able to try a few things.

Whole Chicken - Turned out good

Full packer brisket - Turned out great

Pork spare ribs - tasty, but pretty tough

Pork butt for pulled pork - Turned out good

And spiral cut hotdogs. The kids love them and their hard to mess up.

Call it pride, but I'm not much for asking questions or talking about what I'm doing, but I'm going to try. I do use this site as a GREAT resource for information.

Most important thing I've found is choosing the right meat.  We don't have a butcher shop in our town so I have to pay more attention to the chain stores offerings.

Thank's for letting me glean from your wisdom.

Welcome to the forum!  Don't worry about asking questions or anything, post some pics of your smokes, help someone in need of advice, or just read what others are posting.  It is a very low pressure site!  Glad to have you here.
