I looked at it this morning and wasn't bent that much to notice in a picture. Like I said I just crimped the sides in a little with some pliers and it fit better.
So you did it to both sides? Your first post said one side. Im guessing you mean along the top edges then, and not so much along the base/bottom- (just to clarify)
Yes, both sides at the top part of it. Sorry should have been more clear. Just bent it a little inward which made it not so darn tight of a fit. There is a screw that looks like it attached the housing of the heating element that mine seems to get hung up on until I bent it a little. Could take out that screw too and see if that helps.
I went and took that little screw out- amnps slides right in easy peasy now- doing a pellet run and a single rack of ribs to share with the wife when she gets home from work. Had to take a ........sick day....so i find the smoke to have healing properties :)

Im new to the MES too and was wondering where to place my tray. I have the 40" and was planning on just setting it on the bottom rack either small tray rack above it or tin foil tent to keep juices out. Thoughts?
When you say tray - i take it you are referring to an AMNPS? If so i would assume the bottom works just fine -as i always see it there in pics from other users all over the place
