Pork Butt

So yesterday I wanted to try something new, so I made pork butt for slicing(so like a roast). First I smoked it for 1,5 hours and then grilled it with indirect heat on the gas grill for additional 2 hours.

Used a simple seasoning of salt and pepper. Then I made small holes where I added garlic and bay leaves. Used apple for the smoke.

I took it off the smoker when IT was 170 and had it resting for 10 minutes or so.

I know it is not smoked only, but thought I wanted to share it

Looks delicious! I bet it would be great with garlic mashed potatoes.

Fip Me Over: I bet it would be nice with some garlic mashed potatoes :) We had oven roasted sweet potato, potato and butternut pumpkin made in small cubes.


Richie: Unfortunately the pool is not heated :) But it is tempting to jump in :)

Thanks Al, it was really juicy and taste was perfect, slight taste of smoke and  then a good bark because of the last two hours in gasgrill.
