My name is Steve and I live near Chicago. Santa decided I was a good boy last year and brought me my first propane smoker, a 36" Smoke Hollow, which I seasoned last week. Up until now, I've attempted to smoke on my charcoal grill using the offset method with varied success. I've been wanting to get into smoking for a while now, so I'm just trying to read and learn as much as I can. I am fortunate to have a butcher practically right in my back yard who will custom cut whatever I ask for. By the way, my smoker is a brand new model for Smoke Hollow (it's the 36") so I'll be happy to provide feedback if anyone's interested. Thank you!

Welcome from SC. It's good to have you on this great site. There are lots of good folks who are always eager to share their ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask and keep reading.

Sounds like a good cooker. Post some pics when you can and also some pics of your cooks.

Good luck and good smokin', Joe
