Hi, did a search but didn't really see much info. What kinds of meat lugs is everyone using to mix their meats? What material(plastic, stainless steel) , sizes, lids, where to buy? Thanks for any input you can share.

I know that LEM products sells a couple different plastic ones.

Sausagemaker.com sells some as well.

I'm sure kitchen supply places have them as well.

I make small batches, so I just use the biggest mixing bowl that I have.

Thanks for the reply. Any sizes work better than others? Best to have both a smaller and a larger size? Deeper the better?

If you have a local restaurant supply house will have the and lids and you won't have to pay for shipping.  Plastic is fine but try to avoid scratching it with utensils as that makes it much harder to be sure they are really sanitized well.

I recommend that you measure your refrigerator.  First go around I bought some that did not fit in my refer.

I found some at the local GFS.

RG. Thanks, yes I did think of measuring the fridge yesterday, and definitely will have to go smaller than I thought.
