I just started my first boston butt 9.11 lbs and a picnic 7.12 lbs. i cut a whole pork shoulder in two so i could get one of each. I got it at a local store for $1.28 lbs Total cost was around $25. So i started with a home made dry rub and wrapped and let sit all night. Then i put in the smoker at 7pm and at 330 am they were at 167 degrees so i pulled them and trayed and foiled and are back in the smoker. Here are some pics to start

Starting to wondering if it is too cold out to get things going maybe my mes is not up to the temp it is saying as it has been 15 hours now and has been stalled at 167 degrees for 7 hours and no sign of moving. So should i bring in and out in oven or just wait it out

Well i just went to look again and they still had not moved from 167 degrees so was bringing them in to put in the oven to finish and what the problem was the thermostat was to cold to move. When i brought them in they where at 206 so all is good they are falling apart puting them in the cooler to rest. Will post photos when pulling them. Lol
