Bacon Wrapped Beef Tenderloin Filet

Mrs Bear found these on sale for $5 each (6 ounces), so two of them followed her home.

I was anxious to try them, as due to the normal $16 to $19 per pound prices, I haven’t had any Tenderloin for a few years.
The Bacon fell off before I even got them on the Grill, but I didn’t care because I’m sure the Bacon got done better this way.

These weren’t too bad, but we both agreed to stick with our much cheaper Prime Rib, that I normally smoke when we have the urge.

Mrs Bear added her Roasted Reds & some Broccoli to the Sizzling Plates, and it was time to eat.

Thanks for stopping by,

Bear

LOL—Bacon fell of before it even got to the grill—Oh Well, everything will get done smoother this way anyway!!

Great looking meal there.  I remember those Filet packages we have had them a time or two. I think they wrap the bacon around to hold the pieces together.  Looks mighty tasty though

Thank You Gary!!

When the Bacon fell off, the one stayed in one solid piece, and the other one had a break in it on one side to the center, but it was still only one piece.

And Thanks for the Point !!

Thank You Richie!!

I was kinda glad the Bacon fell off----I didn't like my original plan of standing them on edge & moving them around until the Bacon was done, and then laying them flat to do the Steaks.

I used to buy the whole loins about 30 & 40 years ago & slice them myself, but they're way too expensive compared to my Prime Rib & Ribeyes.

And Thanks for the Points!!

Yup---Those Sizzle plates are Great----We are usually making a Side in the Toaster oven, like those Roasted Reds, so Mrs Bear throws them right in there-----I love my hot food staying hot.

And Thanks for the Points!!
