Hi Paul,

It should be easy to level with the adjustments at the feet and/or wheels.

Tip:  IMHO---Water in the pan doesn't do anything good in an MES unit.

Bear

there is no adjustment whatsoever on the feet of the unit. Im not so concerned about water, more about the unit is brand new and wobbles like a penguin on my back porch.
Now that it is standing upright if you loosen the stretcher bolts between the four legs you can probably get it level and tighten them back up.

I was going to say the same thing. Mine is also not setup perfectly yet, but I had a backlog of smoking projects, so I wanted to so them first! I have found another issue.....My AMNPS does not fit on the lower left. The chip burner (element) and its housing protrude to far for it to fit. I have it on the first rack today, But I need to figure something else out!

If it is the Maze that won't fit, try one of the Tubes sold by Todd. They don't burn as many hrs (approx 4 vs 10) as the Maze, but they should fit.

Oh, I have a 12 inch tube from Todd as well! I like the maze for longer smokes.....

Maybe Todd Needs to make a version 2 of the maze to fit the gen 2.5!!!!!!!
I have the Gen 2.5 BT and my Maze fits just fine on the left side and raised about 1 1/2' - 2" sitting on a wire rack the same size as the Maze off the bottom pan.

My 2.5 is a 40" ... Is yours a 30"???? ... If so, then that would make a difference.

yes, its the 30" 2.5. That is most certainly the difference. I actually tried to sit it on a rack, but again, not enough clearance. less than 1.2 inch off from being perfect.....GRRRR

I have the Gen #2.5 MES 40.
Since the bottom rack is too close to the heating element anyway, I just leave that rack in & put my AMNPS on the left end of that rack.

its more of a matter of principle with me
I don't like when I buy things online that wobble either. Years ago when I still bought from Wal-Mart I bought a small dorm fridge that wobbled. This was a replacement for a defective unit they'd previously shipped to me so I just placed a shim under the shorter foot. Wound up giving the fridge to my daughter.

For your smoker, it looks like the controller is a Gen 2 design but everything else looks to be a Gen 2.5. Are you keeping the smoker or sending it back for a replacement?
