I've done prbably 8 smokes with my amnps so far in my analog 30 Mes I like it way better than the stock wood tray but it seems when I first Put it in there it really pumps out the smoke seems like white smoke to me even when I just have it sitting on top of the smoker. After a couple hours I start getting some nice tbs. I definitely don't have a problem getting it to light. Maybe I am lighting it to much I just read so much about people not getting it to light I might be over doing it. Anyone else experience this. I'll be doing my master Forge smoke stack mod soon so that might help it just came in the mail.

It does put out heavier smoke just after lighting because you get more pellets burning than that which generates smoke through the rest of the run. It settles to TBS in 20-30 minutes. If your's puts out heavy smoke longer, might be type of pellets or possibly an air flow problem. Just a guess though...JJ

Ya maybe I need to drill some air intake holes might make a difference I think I am most likely just lighting it way to much I had really nice tbs going my CB today after about an hour and a half I must just have to much lit up at once.

Ya I have a 30 inch analog and the don't have a vent so unless I leave my door open a crackle to much smoke usually doesn't taste good, haven't had to much with the amnps yet I think it just looks like alot. I usually leave the door open a bit until the tbs starts coming anyway.
