Mustard Seeds

When adding mustard seeds to sausage, do you crush and/or bake to pull a little more flavor?  How long?

For sausage and rubs I usually toast them whole in a dry skillet then crack them before using.

Dry pan over Med heat until fragrant and start to pop. Crush some and some whole...JJ
