Been smoking on my Weber a little while. Now looking at going over to electric. Got a lot of info From reading here, so I thought I'd become a member and give my feed back.

Welcome from SC. It's good to have you on this great site. Your post is a trap for me. I smoke on an offset and use charcoal and wood. That having been said, I never worry about a heating element going bad or the power going off or any number of things. I just add a split of wood and enjoy playing with the fire and eating the most delicious flavored meat anywhere around.

I'll leave it at that. I'm sure you will get a lot of advice. Good luck, Joe

Welcome to the site and congratulations on getting your new smoker.

There are a lot of electric smoker owners on the site and an electric specific page that might be a help to you.
